Firms incorporate uncertainty into their decisions using Monte Carlo Simulation in order to anticipate a wide range of possible outcomes of their decisions. Learners will become familiar with methods to recognize, model and evaluate sources of uncertainty affecting decisions using Palisade Decision Tools software, a tool used by many Fortune 500 companies. Specific requirements will include the keeping of a detailed journal and completion of a term paper. The student's performance will be evaluated by his/her supervisor in the business organization and the assigned college faculty member.
The Ski Resort Internship is a required course of the Ski Resort Management Certificate program that offers students a meaningful learning experience that extends beyond the classroom setting. An internship offers complimentary experiential learning to the student that is congruent with classroom-based learning. This course is intended to offer a practical out-of-the-classroom learning opportunity at the ski resort and can be taken in a fall, spring or summer term.

In this course, students learn about important classes of biological molecules, basic cell structure and function, as well as the essential processes of DNA replication, transcription, protein translation, cell growth and metabolism.
